QUOTATIONS TO CHOOSE FROM...
1. “The value of life can be measured by how many times your soul has been deeply stirred.” ~Soichiro Honda
2. “A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” ~Charles Darwin
3. “One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed. I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life.” ~Vanilla Ice
4. “If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society.” ~Joni Eareckson Tada
"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life" -Charles Darwin
ReplyDeleteThis value of life relates to me because its true I have not yet found my own value of life, and I'm wasting my time more and more everyday. On the news once there was three guys on a date with their girlfriends and a mad shooter comes in. So what do the guys do? They stop wasting their value of life thinking about it and they used to save the loved ones that day. So don't lay around all day thinking what will my value of life be, don't do that just what till it actually happens and go from there. Live while you still got no value of life to worry about, you still got a big day in head of you yet. Live the chance while you still got it.
One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed. I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life.” ~Vanilla Ice
ReplyDeleteYou can be happy by just having what you own now without money, fame, and fortune. My family is not the riches so we don't get to have all the stuff you want to have. In my family if you want something you wait till your birthday or christmas. I get things on my own by working for money to buy it by myself. But I still say enough to buy things for my family members. It reminds me of the story on a show "What Would You Do" where this woman was walking by a bank and she saw a fifty dollar bill and picked it up and brought it into the bank. They interviewed her and found out she was homeless and her parents taught her that she should always do the right thing even if it is hard to do it. I think the quote "value of life" means you should live life to the fullest and not stop till you want to stop.
ReplyDeleteThis quote shows that money can't buy happiness, even if you have all the money in the world, you'll have no one to share it with. It makes the money pointless. That's why I find it important in life to make friends and stay with your family, regardless of how much money you have. The poem "Money can't Buy Happiness" by Ella Marley is a poem that describes the bad side of money. One of the last lines in the poems says that the author would give every penny to have people/friends/family in her life. The way that this wraps together with what were learning is that you can buy anything you want besides a friend. Making the value of a human life priceless.
"If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society." ~Joni Eareckson Tada
ReplyDeletei think that even if you a high member of society that you should still care about the ones without a home or a family to support them. Im not a member of high society but im also not a member of the lower society as well im in the middle of them. That doesn't make me that important but it makes me helpful of the ones in the lower part of society that cant get a job or a house for that matter. I read a book recently about a high and low society the low society is called the avoidables the high society are the prefects they can't live in harmony but in a city cut in half for the perfects to have one side and the avoidables to have the other side. In the end they decided to live in peace as the wall came down and they live together. I dont think that everyone knows the value of life they say they do but they dont know any thing but ow to help themselves.
"If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society." This means you see that there is good in everyone, not just the richest people but also the ones that don't have anything at all. You can see the value in the poor.I believe that there is good and value in everyone. I don't just respect the rich people I respect the poor people to. I always want to help out because there life is just as important as anyones else's they just don't have as much stuff.Just like you always see on tv rich people helping out the poor. They can see the value in people's life and they want to make a difference. I really like this quote because it shows that people need to care about others and see the value in the people that don't have as much.
ReplyDelete“One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghini's, but I was depressed. I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life.”
ReplyDeleteI think that this quote means that you could have anything you ever wanted and you still didn't have happiness means that all you need in life is family! Because at the end of the day family is gonna have your back. Yes you could be a millionaire and have everything you want but thats not gonna make you happy for so long. All of the stuff can help you through life but that stuff isn't gonna be any help. All of that money you have isn't gonna be there for you. Won't be able to help you through the hard times in life. That's why you need family because they are the ones you understand you and should help you through your mistakes. This quote reminds me of "Cool kids" people who think there are all that and have everything better and they have more then you and they have more money. Well people like that can think that they are cool but at then end of the day I'm happy I have my family because without family you would be nothing, that is the "Value Of Life"
“If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society.” ~Joni Eareckson Tada.
ReplyDeleteIn the world you have to help the elderly and care for the poor or sick. I go to my grandmas house whenever it snow. My dad and I go and shovel the snow by her house because she is 89. She is is good health and all but she doesn't need to be out in the cold shoveling her snow. You also have to care for everyone else that helps you out when you are going through tough times both emotional and physically. Life is a gift so live it to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteThe reason that he was depressed is because he had everything in the world, but at the same time he had nothing. The reason being is that he had no love in his life. He had no one to be scared for him if he were to fall. No one their for him if he were to get sick. He would only have his butler to be scared but not actually scared. He would have medicine to heal him if he was sick but he would not have a person by his side to comfort him in his needing of the heart. Family his the reason for living you need someone else to be their to comfort you and for you to comfort them. In the book the War Games the Nazis did not think of Jews as a hi end value of their life.
"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life." The reason I choose this quote is that I can Relate to it. This quote means that a person that wastes time doing nothing is a person that doesn't see the big picture. I can relate to this quote because I have wasted a lot of time in the past and now I make up for that time. In steed of wasting time I could have built a better relationship with other people. I really can't connect this with anything different. Its a deep and meaningful quote.
ReplyDelete“If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society.” ~Joni Eareckson Tada I believe this quote is truely important because people judge others by the way they look and the things they have. The true meaning of life is not to make sure you get through life. It is to care for everyone and help them when they need it. Throughout your life you have your ups and downs. It's the people who are there for you when your at your worst that care for you. I can relate this quote to my life very well. When my grandma died it was so sudden that everyone was in shock. She was young and very healthy. Family and friends came from all over the state and the country. Everyone came together as a family and we all helped each other get through the hard time. Because of that situation I know that everyone needs to have someone there for them. In the movie Burlesque Vince lets Ali stay at his house when her house gets broken into and she has no where to go. I believe this quote truly describes the meaning of life because everyone should care for each other.
ReplyDelete“One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed. I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life.”
ReplyDeleteThis quotation shows money is not life. It can't buy "true happiness." Money can make you happy when you are able to a new car or something expensive and cool, but after a while you would probably just realize that hey this doesn't make me happy anymore, or this was just a big waste of money. This relates to me because when I was younger all I ever wanted was "mom buy me this dad buy me that" because as a kid, I was never satisfied with what I had just like most people. But than you grow up and things start getting more expensive and you're getting all these new things because you want to feel good about yourself that you can afford these things, that it will make you happy but when you start to realize this doesn't make me happy anymore. Which is the lesson, don't get so hyped about money and new things, get close to family and friends because eventually money will be gone.
This quote means that life is to short, so you have to live in the moment, and never look back. It can be gone or affected in the blink of an eye. This relates to my values because I am experiencing it right now. My family has been affected and going through it right now. I am really learning the value of life and how it can be gone fast. My mother tells me everyday that life is to short, and to make the best of it, because you never know when it is going to be affected. I read lots of books about cancer and people at a young age dying, who haven't experienced things yet. Their life was cut short because of what has affected them. Now it is connecting to me and my family. My thoughts of this quote is that life is short and you have to live life for the ones who haven't discovered it yet or got to be there. The quote says that in the very few words.
ReplyDeleteI chose people learn from their mistakes, because I do believe that people learn from their mistakes. In my opinion, you learn more from making a mistake, than you do when you do something the right way. Because if you make a mistake, than you could look back on what you did, and easily correct it. For example, my 7th grade year I did hurdles in track. When I did hurdles in 7th grade I jumped as high as I could over the hurdle. I realized that the way I was going over the hurdle made me slow down. So after a couple of meets doing two hurdle events each meet, I was able to easily correct what I was doing, and improved my hurdling skills. We ended up braking a record that year for shuddle hurdle. And we also broke the 8th grade record as well the next year. It reminds me of gym candy, where the character was on steroids, but went to rehab and played football for his high school
ReplyDelete3.
ReplyDeleteI think this quote is great because money does not find happiness. I think that you can have as much money as you want and still be sad because if you are greedy for money then other people think you are selfish. I think that it's nice to have money but to much money is a problem and I think that everyone else would agree. In Romeo and Juliet, Count Paris had all the money and royalty that you could have but Juliet was still not happy. I think that too much money is a problem.
ReplyDeleteTo me, this means that money cannot buy you happiness. I think that this quote is true. I believe that no matter how much money you have, if you do not have friends or family, then you will not be as happy. This quote reminds me of famous people. They make a lot of money in their career, but usually end up being depressed, because they do not have any actual friends. The theme of this quote is that it takes more than just money to make a person happy. I believe that it is important to be surrounded by people who enjoy being around you.
ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to my life values because I believe that true happiness comes from family and not objects. I connect this to people who have won the lottery. I have heard about this on the news and by other people who have told me about it. People who have won the lottery in the end wish they didn't. They say that they can't trust anyone anymore, because they don't know if they just want money or if they are truly their friend. Most people want to win the lottery so they can afford all the top brands and the nicest stuff that they could never had bought before because they didn't have the money. They soon realize quickly that money and the next top point it did.
My thoughts on this quote is that people take what they have for grated. Even though they have what everyone else has such as the coolest car and the nicest jeans, they still feel like that's not enough. To me family is priceless, and that family is the most valuable thing someone can have in the world.
"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life." ~Charles Darwin. If I have learned one thing in my 14 years of living in this world it would probably be that procrastination is a 15-letter word, and being busy comes with no additional charge. I have read books and watched movies, sang songs and heard stories all with the same theme, message, or title, 'time is priceless, spend it while you can.' However, I can't help but feel that we don't comprehend the meaning of these words. Often when we hear this advice we don’t think about where it is coming from. When I was a little girl, my dad found out he had a ‘bug in his brain’, or so he told us. He had to go through a surgery where they cut his head open to get rid of the nerve-eating ‘bug’ inside. It was very scary for all of us. I remember a day back in the fourth grade, it was rainy and cold, and dad’s surgery was coming up. Our guidance counselor wanted to talk with me privately about my dad. He asked me what it would be like if he was gone, what kind of things we wouldn’t be able to do anymore. I silently sat there. I was beyond upset, angry, to be honest I was ticked. He made it seem like my dad wasn’t gonna make it. I knew he was, he wouldn’t leave us. But he made me realize that all those things I used to do with him would be gone in an instant. I wouldn’t have a dad anymore. From then on I cherished every moment I had with my family. I would skip hanging out with my friends to have a game night in our basement living room. I understood that I need to value my life more than I do. It could be gone before you know it.

ReplyDeleteIn this quote he is saying that you can not buy happiness. You could have all the money in the world, and yet not truly be happy. In my opinion in order to be happy in life you need to have family and friends in life in order to do so.
“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” ~Charles Darwin
ReplyDeleteI choose this because it stresses the value of life in the way that you only have so much time on this earth. I try to be the best athlete, student, and person, I can be because you only get one chance to live you have to make the most of every second. Don't be somebody that blends in be your own person. "Gym Candy" showed me some of this because the main character, wanted to be the best so he took steroids. He knew he one chance but he wasn't willing to put in the work. You have to make the most of all your time on earth, that is what it means to value life.

ReplyDelete“If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society.” ~Joni Eareckson Tada. Our troops over seas for example are helping the locals in Iraq and Afghanistan and they're poor. Some might say they're the "weakest and most vulnerable members of society." They'd be the weakest because the Taliban and Al-Quada control the whole country and they're the most vulnerable for the same reason and because they live in the middle of a war zone. "Value of Life"
ReplyDelete2. “A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” ~Charles Darwin
ReplyDeleteI believe that this quote means that life is too short to waste time and you need to live every moment of your life to the fullest. I believe this because I also believe that you shouldn't waste time because in the future you may regret the time you wasted when you could've done something to help someone out or done something to make a difference. The book The Fault in our Stars shows you that you need to live every moment to the fullest because you never know when you will be out of time. I believe this goes along with the theme value of life because your life will have a lot higher of a value if you don't waste time, if you are productive, active in your community, and willing to go out of your way to help others, then people will view you as very high value.
#3: “One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed. I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life.” ~Vanilla Ice
ReplyDeleteI think that this is very true. You cannot buy happiness. If you have a lot of money you could be able to but items that make you happy, but the happiness is coming from that object. Some people have millions of dollars but still are not satisfied for some reason, like Robin Williams for example. He was a very successful actor and made many people smile, but took his own life because of depression. This is why I think you cannot buy happiness.
3. "One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed . I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life. " ~Vanilla Ice
ReplyDeleteThis quote shows that money can't buy happiness. You can buy whatever you want if you have a lot of money, but you won't enjoy it because you have no friends or family to enjoy it with. In one episode of Drake and Josh, a snobby rich young girl is famous. The only friend she has is her bodyguard. She is rude to everybody and can't make new friends. She even fires her own brother as her assistant. But in the end when Drake and Josh had enough of her and finally leave her, even her body guard leaves her to be alone. I think the "value of life" means how much you get out of your life or what you do to have your life be valued.
“If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society.” ~Joni Eareckson Tada
ReplyDeleteI believe that this means that if you really believe in the value of your life then you'll care and believe in the value of everyone else's life, even if it's someone who isn't much. This reminds me of a teacher who was in the Sandy Hook Elementary School during the shooting. When she heard about the gunman in the school she hid her students. When the gunman came to her room and asked her where the kids were, she lied to him and told him that they were in the gym. The gunman ended up killing that teacher, but the students were safe. I believe that putting other people's life values before yours is important, that's what makes our society stronger.
ReplyDeleteThe things in life that make a person happy aren't material objects but are things that you feel in your heart. Anyone can be rich in wealth but it can't get you anything that can make you truly happy. Things that have real value and can make you happy are friends, family, and the memories you make with them. It is more important to be with the people that you love than to be with things. Money can't make you happy. I believe Vanilla Ice is 100% correct in his quote.
ReplyDeleteHaving money is not everything in the world. I would much rather have my family than just money. Family and friends can make you laugh and money will not. You can't buy everything in the world and expect to be happy.
This reminds me of Derek Jeter when he plays the game of baseball. He doesn't do it for the money or the fame. He does it because he loves to play. After all the years of playing in the MLB he still hangs out with his family whenever he can. Money is something that does not interest Derek Jeter.
The quote by Vanilla Ice is right you can't buy yourself happiness. You have to go out with friends and family and laugh about the past. Talk about what makes you happy.

To me this quote means that even with all the money in the world you cant buy every thing you have ever wanted. I really like this quote because it really does show that with millions of dollars you still cant get out of a ticket, buy good friends that actually care about you and not your money. If I had millions of dollars of course I would have all the cars, toys, and houses I've ever wanted but my friends would only like me for my money. This reminds me of Charlie off of two and a half men. Charlie has tons of money, a nice car, nice house, and endless girls running through his house but he never actually settles down he just runs around and is never happy.
“One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed. ReplyDeleteI believe that this is very true. People can act happy, and drive around in nice cars and live in huge houses and eat fancy food, but are they really happy? They are acting happy. But really they are probably depressed. To me, a man with no money, house or car but has family is happier than a man with a lot of money and no family. It's just like friends. You have true friends who stick with you no matter what, and then you have friends who are with you because you have a lot of money. It is like the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The family is very poor, but they have their whole family, and they are happy. Willy Wonka has no family but has a lot of money and a huge chocolate factory, but he is missing friends and family and it makes him sad and depressed. So you can have the best clothes, the nicest car, the biggest house, or the most money, but really the person that is happier is going to be the person that has a loving family and friends, no matter how hard their life is because they will have people the stand next to them in all their choices. You can replace a house, a car, or a boat, but you can not replace a family and it's hard to replace loyal and true friends.
1. "The value of life can be measured by how many times your soul has been deeply stirred." ~ Soichiro Honda
ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to my life because it shows how even though you may not have a lot of money you can still live your life to the fullest by the moments you live in. This reflects to the book I am currently reading, The Fault in Our Stars. Although Agaustus is dying he choses to go to Amsterdam with Hazel rather than start a treatment to possibly save himself. He choses love and excitement rather than chosing dying. There is a difference between being alive and living. Living is when you live in moments that excite you, make you happy that you're alive, and make you proud that you've come that far. Being alive is meeting the everyday needs of life and nothing more. Stirring your soul offers new and exciting things to make you want to live rather than just wanting to be alive. I believe that the value of life can be measured. Not by money, but by the lives you touch around you and how you chose to live your life. Without these moments we would only be living creatures on this earth, not living, just alive. Finding the joys in everyday life, even in the littlest of things, can make you a happier person and make your life worth living.
“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” ~Charles Darwin.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this because there is no value to a life if you do nothing with it. If you were to buy something from the store and it didn't work there would be no value to it. Thats why you need to do something with your life and do something productive, don't just waist all of your time. Make your life worth something and help people around you.
3.) “One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed. I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life.” ~Vanilla Ice
ReplyDeleteThis quote means that you don't need money to be happy all that you need is family! Because when your down family will have your back not money. Money could make you happy in a way that doesn't have meaning, the things that have meaning is family and friends that will always have your back no matter what happens. Having $100,000,000 would be great but being depressed and thinking you have no one and that you don't fit in isn't that great. The theme of this quote is that it takes more then money to make a person happy and to make them feel important to this world! To me money cannot buy happiness no matter how hard you try. Money may feel like the greatest thing in the world but let me tell you its not. The reason that he was depressed because he had everything in the world but at the same time he had nothing.
“If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society.” I believe in this quote because everyone can play a role in a person's life. Anyone can make a persons day by saying hi or holding a door open for them. People need to look in the inside of a person instead of the outside. The inside means a lot more then the outside of a person. People need to think that they are the same person. Just because they are poor or super rich that doesn't mean that you can just block them out of your life. They are your friends and you need to stick with them. Money doesn't buy happiness. People need to take the time to sit down with that person and talk to them and get to know them. People need to get to know the person before they start talking about them and making fun of them. Because the poorest person can make a great impression on the richest person.
ReplyDelete3.
ReplyDeleteThis means to me that money can't buy happiness. He is saying he had a lot of money but he had no friends. He wasn't very happy. You could have all the money in the world and not he happy because you don't have any friends. Family in friends is what makes you happy in life. Without them we wouldn't know what to do. So that's why it;s important to make friends. Who cares about how much money you have. Its not what makes you happy. Family and friends do. This quote makes me think of rich people because they have a lot of money and sometimes they don't have the best of friends. Rich people are usually greedy and people don't like greedy people. The theme of this quote is that friends and family is all that matter in life. I believe its important to have great friends and family for the support and the good times and bad.
ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to my life because my family means the world to me. They have done so much for me and if it wasn't for them I would't be writing this. This Quote reminds me that money can't buy happiness. If it could I would have given every dollar I had to save my best friend Cory, but I couldn't. You hear all these stories about people who win the lottery and their lives change, but have you ever thought, was it for the better or for the worse? People don't value life any more. Its all about fame and fortune. But who wants to be friends with someone who can change in an instant, and treats you bad because they have something you don't. I certainly don't.
My family and friends are the most important things to me, and I've learned that people are more important than material objects.
“One thing I didn't understand in life was that I had $100,000,000 in the bank and I couldn't buy happiness. I had everything: mansions, yachts, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, but I was depressed. I didn't know where I fitted in. But then I found family and friends and I learned the value of life.” ~Vanilla Ice.
ReplyDeleteThis quote is relating to my life values because happiness shouldn't just come from objects that you buy. You should have happiness with your life, rich or poor. Sometimes people think their the richest people out there. Only because they can afford what would make them happy. But soon that object will go out of style, then you won't be happy with object anymore and you believe that you wasted your on the object. Happiness isn't just about money. You never know one day you could win so much money and believe that you'll never go broke. Well some people let it go to their head. They keep buying and buying but forget they will ruin out sometimes. So then they go back and wish they never won that much money. To me, I'd rather have family over money any day. I'd rather have happiness instead of being depressed in life.

ReplyDeleteI can relate to this quote because my belief is that to experience the true values of life you have to have true family and friends that you can trust. Everyone somepoint in their life wants to be famous or have a lot of money, but when people get to that point they regret it. They can't see the difference between true friends and family. Some people only think about the brands, or all the latest items out on the market, and thats all they care about. You can't buy happiness. Some people might say "Well you can buy things that make you happy". Thats true, but you won't get to experience true happiness. When people think they have it all, but they don't have family or friends do they really have it all? Some people have left their family to experience "The High Life", or fame/money. You cannot buy happiness, because you cannot buy true friends and family. People take life for granted, and when you get towards the end you will regret it.

This quote means that you can't buy yourself happiness, happiness comes from family and friends not the money you have. This quote relates to my life values because I strongly believe that you can not buy your happiness. I connect this with the people who have won thousands and thousands of dollars through lottery or even gambling, which I have seen on the television. They are so ecstatic about that that they forget the true meaning of happiness. My thoughts on this quote is that people with tons of money or very little money take what they have for granted. Because everyone wants the nicest things but when you get them you think that you need more. When really you have everything you need, and that is family and friends.
2. "A man who dares to waste one hour of life has not yet discovered the value of life"-Charles Darwin.
ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to me because you can't waste a minute of your life. No body is guaranteed the next day. You have to live your life to the fullest so you can look back on your life when your older and have stories to tell your kids and grandkids. I believe it is better to go out of your comfort zone and have regrets than to stay inside all the time and be boring. This also reminds me of the son"Live like you were Dying" by Tim Mcgraw. It's reflecting on not being worry-some and having a little fun.

You just have to find it. You don't have to have everything you want to be happy just get by with what you have and work for it. I can relate this to my dad when he is farming. He doesn't have the biggest equipment out there he has a lot of ground he just gets by with what he has. I also can connect this to Dan Gables wrestling career. He didn't have expensive training equipment he had the normal training equipment. He used those things and now he is the greatest wrestler to ever live and coach. " I don't think you have to have the greatest things to be happy just use the things that get you where you want to be."
ReplyDelete"A man who dares to waste an hour of time has not discovered the value of life,"- Charles Darwin. This quote means that no one should waste time doing nothing because life is short in the grand scheme of things. This applies to me because I have wasted time inside when I could have been outside with my sister. I have watched a movie about these two guys that only have a couple months to live so they start going out and doing the things they wanted to do. "Value of life" life is not worthless weather you are poor or rich your life has value.

ReplyDeleteThis quote relates to me because i don't have a lot of money so i don't have fancy new thing's but also u can have fun with fast car's and big truck's and gun's but it'l take time to get those things and if u believe you can get those thing's you will. I read this thing on facebook and it said that money cant buy happiness but it had a picture of a Ford GT on it and at the bottom it said "i'l take my chances". That's why i think money can buy happiness but you don't always get what you want to be happy of what you have now because all that can be token from you in a flash.
"If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all the weakest and most vulnerable members of society."~Joni Eareckson Tada
ReplyDeleteThe quote by Joni Eareckson Tada means that you don't just care for yourself, you care for the elderly, the sick and the wounded. You can only care for yourself for so long, before you open your eyes and see how hard other people around you are. Wether they are homeless, have family troubles, or need to talk about things you need to be there for them.
I have given some old toys to a family who my mom had worked with when they lost all of their belongings to a house fire. I would donate money to families that have children who have some sort of disease that had no cure or they were unemployed. I would help the families who are in a bad spot with the roller coster of life, you never know what is around the next corner.
"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life." It means if you waste an hour you haven't lived yet. Or if you waste an hour of your day you waste an hour of your life. Live Life to the fullest. The book "Conspiracy 365" is kind of like the quote. The character Calum Ormand is on the run and is trying to live life as a fugitive. If the wrong person gets him it could be his last day. He is living life to the fullest. If you don't live life to the fullest you might die regretting it. And life life to the fullest because you never know when it could be your last.

I can relate this to a movie I have watched. The movie was about a guy who went and had breakfast and couldn’t tip the waiter so earlier that morning he had told her whatever the lottery ticket was he would split half of it with her. The lottery ticket was a million dollar winner so he went in and split it with her. Then the guys wife left him and didn’t care about anything besides the money. So she gets a divorce with him. She fights him in court for the money and at the end of the movie he gives it up and lets her have it. He figured out the money wasn't the happiness it was the time spent with people to make him happy.
I believe there is no value to life. If there was it wouldn't be money. It would be the time spent with people. It would be the happiness. Happiness has a lot more value than money.

What vanilla ice is trying to say is that you cant buy happiness, and the true value of life is family, friends and love. I can relate to this because i have strong family values. The biggest thing I value in life is family. I agree that money shouldn't be valued as much as family. Every year for Christmas my family goes to my grandma and grandpas, and every year they are always happy. However they are not rich and they do now have a nice house or a nice car, but they are just happy we are there. I once read a book where a family with very little money told there story of how they survived. They didn't survive because they got more money but because they had each other. I think this shows that money cant do everything for you. I really believe that money can't buy happiness, but family will make you happy. This is why I value family over all.
ReplyDelete2. “A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” ~Charles Darwin This quote means life is way to short to waste any time from it. With a blink of an eye you life is going to be over before you know it. Don't take things now for granted because you won't have the chance to do it in the future. One way that this relates to my life is when my family found out that my grandma had cancer we knew that the time we had with her would be very short from there. We wish from there was could have done more things with her and spent more time together. You never want them to go or when they are going to go this is a reason you can't waste time. This is connects to the movie and the book Fault in Our Stars because both characters have cancer and they don't know how much time they have to spend together so they try to spend as much time together as possible. Life is to short to mess around and mess you life up with getting in trouble. You need to take the things that are in your life for granted. Always put family before anything else they are the ones who matter the most in life.

ReplyDeleteIt means money is worthless if you aint happy. No amount of money is gonna buy you real family and friends that wanna be there with you for you and not just your money. the money in the bank shouldn't matter to any of your friends or family they should careless if you have $100,000,000 or $0.01.
It relates to my values because I could careless if my friend had millions or pennies it shouldn't matter. the value of life isn't money. Its the good relationships you have with people.
It relates to the book I'm reading "Mother save my life" because she has a great chunk of money and she still can't be happy. She maybe try to buy her way to her mother yet if her mother don't cooperate then there is no way from her to beable to met and have a life with her. Her adopted mother loves her for her. So does the rest of her family.
The value of life isn't money! You cant buy happiness with money but it may help you get the things you need to start to be happy.
